The Stationers' Company
The City of London Livery Company for the Communications and Content Industries

APPRENTICESHIPS

The Stationers' Company's stated strategy is to actively contribute to the education of the Communication and Content industries and has the intention of further developing this area in the future.

The Stationers’ Company believes that apprenticeships provide an important route into employment. They are available at a variety of levels to suit school leavers, people returning to work and those developing professional skills. They are available across a huge range of employment opportunities, including to follow a degree course. Most organisations offer to recruit new talent into their business and develop their existing employees.

Two major apprenticeship schemes which the Company has supported are:

the Queen’s Royal Bindery Apprenticeship Scheme and the   Evening Standard Media Diversity Scheme.

Closer to home the Company seeks to make information about apprenticeships available to those who mentor students at Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy and in conjunction with Pearson Plc, one of its Corporate Members,  hosted a webinar on Apprenticeships and the new T-level qualifications.  You can play the recording of that Webinar by clicking on the image below. A fact sheet on T-Levels can be accessed here

For the Communication and Content Industries which need to ensure a supply of well-qualified people to take the sector forward, apprenticeships are invaluable and that is why the Company in 2018 held its first Apprenticeship event at Ravensbourne University.  . Over the course of the two days, more than 2500 students from across the South East attended.

Today it is a well-established event, which takes over the London Careers Festival for two days on 27th and 28th June; Apprentice Futures  2022 provides a source of information for all and links students, career advisors, employers and providers.  To find out more and register to attend click the image below to go to our dedicated website.
