- The Stationers’ Company Summer Exhibition will take place at the Guildhall Library from Thursday, 1 June to Thursday, 31 August. There will be three lectures within the exhibition programme which will reflect the history and the future of this distinguished Livery Company.
The first lecture will be held on Thursday, 1 June 2017 from 6pm – 8pm.
William Alden MBE, Clerk of the Stationer's Company, will provide a brief synopsis of the Company from its origins in 1403 to its evolution and adaptation in 2017. He will discuss the industries that it serves and the purpose of a Livery Company in the 21st century. A key point of interest will be how the Stationers’ Company remains relevant in a world of global internet access and instant communication.
The exhibition is free and tickets for each lecture cost £5.00 per person (with a 90p booking fee if purchased online) which includes a wine reception.
