The Stationers’ Company Summer Exhibition will take place at the Guildhall Library from Thursday, 1 June to Thursday, 31 August. There will be three lectures within the exhibition programme which will reflect the history and the future of this distinguished Livery Company.

Margaret Willes will look at the Stationers’ contribution to the evolution of bookselling and the creation of bestsellers. She will highlight how the growth of the railway built the business of William Henry Smith from a street ‘Newswalk’ in Mayfair to a nationwide network. Margaret Willes brings the story up to date with a review of a famous Stationer of today - Vint Cerf, one of the ‘Fathers of the Internet’.
The exhibition is free and tickets for each lecture cost £5.00 per person (with a 90p booking fee if purchased online) which includes a wine reception.
