with guest speaker Simon Fox, CEO of Reach (formerly Trinity Mirror) We are delighted that Simon Fox, CEO of Reach plc, will be delivering the Annual Lecture on Monday, 25 March on the subject of The Power of Print.
As CEO of Reach plc (formerly Trinity Mirror), Simon runs the largest newspaper publisher in the UK, reaching to over 45 million people every month. Reach plc comprises of iconic British brands such as the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Sunday People, Daily Record, Daily Star, OK! and market leading regional titles, including the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Birmingham Mail and Bristol Post.
Simon Fox was appointed as Chief Executive of Trinity Mirror in September 2012. He was previously CEO and Managing Director of HMV UK and Ireland and before this he occupied the role of COO for Kesa Electricals plc with responsibility for Comet in the UK, Kesa’s subsidiaries in Continental Europe and e-commerce developments. Prior to his appointment as COO of Kesa, he was Managing Director of Comet, which he led through its demerger from Kingﬁsher. Prior to this he founded Oﬃce World, the UK’s ﬁrst out-of-town oﬃce supplies retailer.
Liveryman Peter Day, former global business correspondent for the BBC, will skilfully moderate the evening, which will include a Q & A session at the end of the lecture.
The evening begins with a drinks reception at 6.00pm, followed by the lecture in the Hall at 6.30pm. At 7.30pm there will be drinks and canapés served, followed by a dinner in the Court Room. The price of the Lecture & Reception only is £40 per head, and for the Reception, Lecture and Dinner it is £95 per head. Spouses/partners are welcome and you may bring as many friends as you wish.
