Join us for a convivial Grand Tour of Europe over a five-course wine tasting dinner, where we will explore native grape varieties, both classic and curious.
Guests will be tutored by Master of Wine Demetri Walters MW of Berry Brothers & Rudd. Demetri is a confident and enthusiastic wine educator and presenter with many years of experience selling wine, running wine schools and hosting corporate and private wine tasting events.
As Wine Educator & Presenter for the prestigious Berry Bros. & Rudd, Demetri's approach to presenting wine is amusing, accessible and entertaining. Demetri also operates product training, WSET education and wine list advice to the restaurant and hotel trade. Demetri was made a Master of Wine in 2013, his thesis for which broughthim back to his formative interest in Cypriot wine. He is a consultant voice for numerous wine regions, particularly those of the Eastern Mediterranean and Eastern Europe, and is a regular speaker on sweet and fortified wines.
At this event organised by the Stationers’ Wine Committee, guests will be navigated through a myriad of wine regions and wines supplied by Berry Bros, some traditional and some rather surprising. Three days pre-Brexit, this a chance to discover the richness and variety of Europe in the comfortable surrounds of Stationers' Hall before wine duty goes up!
