My thanks and huge admiration go to Liveryman Gerald Hill, who, with his wife, Marian, sponsored a trip to the pantomime for children from Somers Town Community Centre School (one of the three Stationers' Saturday Schools).

At the end of their Christmas term, on Saturday 13 December 2014, Eve Hadshar, Bina Patel and Kate Newton, the three dedicated teachers who work so hard to help improve the education of the children at Somers Town Community Centre School, accompanied Gerald and Marian and twelve of their children, aged between seven and nine years, on the outing to see a performance of Dick Whittington and the Pirate Treasure at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford. At the end of the show, Molly Avery from Civitas Schools, who organised the day, presented all of the children with a book about Dick Whittington as well as a 'goody' bag.

After this special Christmas treat, which had been such fun for all, Gerald and Marian, who, through the Stationers’ Foundation, have so generously supported the Somers Town School since it began, were presented with a gift by the staff and children as a mark of their appreciation for all the help that they have given to the school and its pupils.
