LIVERYMEN AND GUESTS ONLY
The Civic Dinner is the principal event of the year, at which the Company celebrates its links with the Mayoralty and the City. The Company invites Civic dignitaries and their spouses to this dinner, including the Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of London and the Sheriffs. The band from the Royal Marines Association will provide music before, during and after the dinner, as well as entertaining the guests with their superb Post Horn Gallop between two buglers!
Following a Champagne reception in the Court Room, you will sit down to a four-course meal with fine wines, coffee and port in the Hall, after which a Stirrup Cup will be available in the Court Room. A Loving Cup will be passed around the Hall towards the end of dinner and the RMA will play music throughout.
We are delighted that the Lord Mayor will be present and will be the guest speaker at the dinner.
Liverymen may invite up to four guests – spouses are welcome: however unless you make a specific request, you will not be seated next to your spouse, but will be seated opposite or nearby. Liverymen and guests should avoid leaving their seats during dinner and certainly remain seated until after the Loyal Toast. You are requested not to circulate during the dinner as this disrupts the formal nature of the occasion.
Please book your tickets by filling out the form below and sending it, with your cheque, to the Deputy Clerk. Alternatively you can book online at www.stationers.org/events . The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 15 November 2017, after which no refunds can be made.
Tickets cost £98 each (including VAT) Pour Mémoire cards will be issued for you and your guests on receipt of payment.
