Members will remember that Liverymen Alison Branch and Heath Mason were featured in Latest News on 1 October as they anticipated their bike ride to Amsterdam in aid of
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. They cycled with a team from the design company, Emperor. Heath reports that the ride of 128 miles was spread over two days on 3rd and 4th October. The first day through the Essex countryside to Harwich was a hilly 71 miles, including 7 extra miles when lost! The very flat 57 miles from the Hook of Holland to Amsterdam was relatively easy, and traffic free due to the amazing cycle ways that the Dutch have. Central Amsterdam’s traffic made up for it! Alison and Heath raised over £8000 between us, contributing towards a team total of £112,000. Congratulations to them both!
