Some 50 Stationers and guests attended the DMG event last night entitled "Print in 2016".The Master welcomed everyone and then Freemen Richard Owers, who had brought the speakers together, introduced them. The first was
Gareth Ward, the Editor of Print Business. He gave a very informative overview of printing since the 1970s and concluded by saying what he expected to see by way of new products and processes at DRUPA next month. We then heard Nick Marsh, Head of Product at Lost My Name talk about the incredible success of a book which is individually printed for every child and which has nevertheless sold over a million titles worldwide. Finally Jonathan Shopley Managing Director, Natural Capital Partners spoke about sustainability, carbon foot-prints and offsetting. It was a very successful evening and much enjoyed by all who attended.
