On Monday there was a very special Awards and Committees Lunch which featured a lot of prize giving!
Recipients were as follows:
Mike Hancock – For his service to the Company on the Industry Committee. He is leaving this Committee after an amazing16 years! He was presented with a vase.
Robert Sanger – For being a very active Honorary Almoner over the past three years. He was presented with a Stationers’ silver Armada dish.
Richard Brewster – Who ends three successful years as Treasurer. He was presented with a silver Stationers’ frame.

The Master also had the pleasure of presenting three academic awards to:
Jessica Hyslop – Who will use the grant to support her PGDip/MA in Conservation of Books and Library Materials (unable to attend).
Aimee Crickmore – Who will use the grant to support her MA in the conservation of books and archival materials.
The Francis Mathew Scholarship this year went to Macaulay-Jane Bristow. She will be using the award to go on courses focused on book binding in Italy and Switzerland.
Following the toast, Elaine Pooke presented a book to the Company (The Master), ‘The Lord Mayor’s Show – 800 Years’ signed by the Lord Mayor and Pageant Master. This was done to thank the Master for the contribution she made to the Lord Mayor’s Parade.
