On Monday 7 November some 50 Stationers and their guests listened to three speakers with three views on The Importance of SMEs and the Impact of Brexit on the UK Economy. The event took place under the Chatham house rule so we have to be careful how it is reported but to say that they all envisaged huge challenges ahead and some were more positive about how the UK, and SMEs in particular, will tackle them, is not letting any cats out of any bags!
Lots of questions were asked and the discussion as always continued on over the buffet supper. Do look out for more coverage in Stationers' News. In the photo you can see from L-R, Court Assistant Tony Mash who chaired the evening, Tom Cargill of the British Foreign Policy Group, Anastassia Belakova from the British Chambers of Commerce and Denis MacShane the who was Minister of State for Europe from 2002 to 2005.
