Freeman Roger Jeal writes: The Stationers’ News Media Group hosted a lively roundtable event in a packed hall on 13 February to discuss the question “Are Journalism and Press Freedom under threat?” The event, held in coordination with the London Press Club, the Society of Editors and the Journalists' Charity, debated the potential impact on the media of Section 40 of the draft Crime and Courts Act.

In thanking everyone at the end, the Master called it a “friendly boxing match”.  Look out for more on this, at times, heated discussion in Stationers’ News.  In the photo above you can see from left to right: Liveryman Doug Wills, Sir Alan Moses (Chairman IPSO), Pia Sarma - Editorial Legal Director of Times Newspapers Limited, Roy Greenslade - Media Commentator and former Fleet Street Editor, Jodie Ginsberg - CEO Indeex on Censorship and Will Gore - Deputy Managing Editor Evening Standard/ Independent
