The 2017 Bursary Recipients came to Stationers' Hall last night and were presented with their certificates. Many of them also took the opportunity to meet their mentors who will be working with them for the duration of their course. It was a very happy celebration with tutors, parents, and friends all gathered to support the students.
The first set of certificates presented went to four students whose bursaries are being given in association with the Printing Charity and Neil Lovell, CEO of the Printing Charity was on hand to congratulate the recipients along with the Master. They are:
Lauren Noding who is on the MA Publishing Course at the University of Kingston
Octavia Lavender who is on the MA Publishing Course at City University, London
Tara Ghaemi also on the for the MA Publishing Course at City University London and
Matthew Child – for the British Printing Industries Federation MSC in Management at the University of South Wales
Next came three bursaries granted in association with the British Literary and Artistic Copyright Association BLACA. Tom Rivers, BLACA's Vice President, joined the Master to congratulate
Oğulcan Ekiz and
All of whom are studying for the Master of Laws In Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London.
Finally there were the Stationers' Foundation Bursaries which this year went to
Annie Warren who is on the MA Publishing Course at UCL
Venetia Menzies who is on the MA in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at the University of Westminster
Stephanie Franklin-Burns who is on the MA in Digital Media: Technology and Cultural Form at Goldsmiths
Luke Connolly who is on the MA in Magazine Journalism at City University London
Samantha Hare who is on the MA Conservation Course at Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London
Sarah Kirschmanwho is on the MA in Publishing at Anglia Ruskin University
Natasha Pile who is on the MA in Publishing at London College of Communications
Jake Hearn who is on the MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL
Laura Trussell who is on the MA in Multimedia Journalism Course at the University of Kent
Talitha Duncan-Todd who is on the MA in Publishing Media at Oxford Brookes University
Benjamin Norsworthy who is on the Masters in Design in Social Innovation course at Ravensbourne.
