Twenty seven happy golfers including several guests played at the Livery Golf Day at Woking on a calm but fairly cloudy day with only the sound of the hooting trains to disturb their concentration.

The Course as ever provided a stern test of golf but gave everyone a chance to shine somewhere in their round.

The trophies were awarded as follows:

Winner of the Alan Greenaway Salver: David Houseman
Runner up of the Mark Tolit Trophy: John Waterlow
Best Guest Score for the David Fordham Trophy: Tom James
Best Pairs Score for the Bridgewater Trophies: Charles Southey and Tom James
Best Gross Score on Par 3s for the Sylvia Brown Trophy: David Houseman

Following a splendid lunch the Master presented the prizes and a lovely day came to an end. A fuller report on the day will appear in the next edition of Stationers’ News.
