At the Master and Wardens’ meeting today the Master conducted a Freedom Ceremony which brought eight new Freemen into the Company.
They are from L-R in the picture:
John Feather – Retired Academic specialising in the History of the Book.
Simon Gamble - Finance Director, Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ltd
Christopher Lloyd - CEO, What on Earth Publishing
Janet Gibson - Convenor and Researcher, The House of Lords and Freelance Journalist
Colin McHenry - Retired Art Director
John Spencer - Retired Journalist
Alec Waterlow - Regional Commercial Director, Wates Group Ltd
Todd Litzsinger - Chairman, Follett Corporation
Most new Stationers are admitted by redemption but on this occasion we had two new Freemen (Messrs Lloyd and Waterlow) admitted by patrimony. Patrimony is the method of entry for those whose father or mother was a Stationer at the time of the birth. It was lovely to welcome so many new Freemen and to see the Lloyd and Waterlow families continuing in membership.
