Over the weekend of 16 and 17 November Stationers' Hall hosted the St Ceciliatide Festival. Its Artistic Director is Past Master Noel Osborne who will provide full coverage for Stationers' News in April (sadly the concerts took place just after the December issue went to print) but the highlights were:-
- a concert and dinner on Saturday, 16 November to launch ‘Beethoven in the City’. The Hanover Band directed by Jorge Jiménez with Erica Eloff (soprano) and played and sang the following:
Beethoven: Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus
Mozart: Exsultate, Jubilate
Beethoven: Symphony No.8
The Hanover Band
Lesley Garrett (soprano) with Anna Tilbrook (piano) provided a closing performance.
