Introducing your Sector Champion - Paper Liveryman Mike Gee

Born 18th January 1953, Mike went to the Billericay School. He Joined Inveresk Paper Company in 1970 in the glory years of Fleet Street.

For the next 10 years he was employed in various sales positions in the Paper Industry and worked for Lepard & Smiths, Charles Baker, Link Paper, Bowaters and M6 Papers Macclesfield running their Fleet Street Office.

In 1980 Mike started his own company Denmaur International Marketing which was involved in paper mainly for publishers and book printers . 

In 1933 Denmaur separated out the paper side and became a sizeable business involved in mainly Graphic Paper and Boards for the book and magazine sectors. Mike was the  Managing Director , then CEO  and is now Vice Chairman of Denmaur Independent Papers Ltd after he sold the controlling interest  to Mr Harry Gould Jnr.

More recently Denmaur purchased Middleton & Vision Paper and now have a paper converting arm in Bescot West Midlands.

Mike has been married to Denise for 47 years and has  two sons and three grandchildren and his interests include travel, food and wine, golf, shooting ,rotary , reading, skiing and investing.  His family also run a small Wine Merchants business called Hot Corks Ltd.

He is the Past President of The Paper Merchants Association and Paper Industries Charitable Trust and sits on the Board of Two Sides.

Mike is a Liveryman of the Stationer’s Company.
