For a complete change of scenery, we have decided to move north from one of Surrey’s finest Golf Clubs to one of Hertfordshire’s gems, Ashridge Golf Club on Tuesday 16 April 2019. Ashridge is a fine example of a traditional English golf club and Sir Henry Cotton and Alex Hay have both been Professionals there.
As usual we will be playing in fours. Liverymen and Freemen will be eligible to compete for the Alan Greenaway Salver and the Mark Tollit Trophy, whilst at the same time a Pairs competition for the Bridgewater Trophies will be open to Liverymen/ Freemen and their guests. The David Fordham Trophy will be presented for the best individual guest score.
Coffee and bacon rolls will be available from 8 a.m. with our first tee time set for 9 a.m. Following play, a carvery lunch will be served prior to presentation of the Prizes.
The cost of the day will be £115 and we hope that you will enjoy the experience of playing at one of Hertfordshire’s finest traditional clubs.
Please note, Ashridge is a non-buggy course but electric trolleys are available. For further information, including directions, please refer to their website www.ashridgegolfclub.ltd.uk, tel: 01442 842244.
I very much hope you will be able to join us and enclose an Entry Form and look forward to seeing you for a great day’s golf.
