Undoubtedly the single biggest impact on our lives in recent times has been the advent of smartphones. The multitude of functions available on smartphones combined with ever increasing connection speeds has meant they have become an integral part of the way we live our lives in the 21st century.
Mobile technology changes the way we work, the way we shop, the way we bank and the way we disseminate information. This event will provide insight into these changes and will show real live examples of how mobile technology is changing the trades of the company.
Dave Fletcher is founder and Managing Director of White October, a digital agency that creates web and mobile products. Over the past 13 years he has grown the agency to 30 full time staff. He is currently Chair of Digital Oxford, a community owned and run organisation promoting and supporting the vibrant digital scene in Oxfordshire. He won Oxfordshire Young Business Person of the Year in 2014 at the Oxfordshire Business Awards.
Ben Perkins is a Director and Head of Consumer Business Research at Deloitte and is responsible for Deloitte’s programme of research and thought leadership across the key consumer business sectors. Prior to joining Deloitte, Ben was the Global Research Director at market research and consultancy firm Mintel, driving their insight and thought leadership programme.
Christian Broughton is the Digital Editor of The Independent and i. Christian has fundamentally changed the editorial structure, building a core web team as part of an integrated editorial staff that works across web, print and TV. During Christian’s tenure unique monthly browsers has grown from 16m to 53m and page impressions from 57m to 180m. Previously Christian was an Assistant Editor and Sports Editor within the group.
Tickets are £25 inc VAT and the event will commence at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start with a short drinks reception followed by the main business of the evening. There will be time afterwards to meet and network with the panel and fellow attendees over further liquid refreshment.
