The Great Hall was the setting for a Freedom ceremony for 16 new Freemen yesterday. Many of them were joined by their First Sponsors and friends and family so it was felt the Hall would be a more practical venue than the Court Room. The Beadle and Deputy Clerk worked hard to perfect the logistics and I think all would agree that it was a fantastic occasion.
