Pádraig Belton writes - a plethora of Young Stationers and bursary recipients gathered for an Intellectual Property Speakeasy at Inner Temple on 31st March (recession-busting, due to the kind help of several tame Benchers, at £29!). They came a joint first in the ensuing pub quiz, then lost out – very unfairly, everyone thought! - in the impromptu Intellectual Property limerick-writing 'sudden death' round. There were several judges from the Court of Appeal along, letting their hair (and wigs) down, and a quip-filled discussion on copyright and internet issues from Professor Sam Ricketson and Phil Roberts (One Essex Court). This all was smashingly organised by intrepid Young Stationer Dr Barbara Lauriat (pictured: photo by Mel Cunningham), lecturer in IP law at King's College London.
