What We Do
From time to time there are a few outstanding people who work to further the interests of the industry, over and above their duties to any individual company.
The paper and allied industries recognise the effort and skill of these ambassadors and for over fifty years has sought to reward this commitment in the form of a prestigious annual award; the Gold Medal.
Since its inception in in the late 1960s, the committee of the Gold Medal Association, comprising the leaders of many of the UK’s well known trade associations, has met to consider nominations and make the award to the person considered to have done most to further the interests of the paper and allied industries in the UK.
The Gold Medal is now the ultimate Industry Award and announced as the final Award at the Confederation of Paper Industries new annual ‘Paper Industry Gold Awards’.
