YS The Day That Was In It20 2

The Young Stationers donned shamrock, and were joined for St Patrick's Day by Culture Minister Ed Vaizey MP, (seen in the photo above on the left with Paddy on the right)  who apparently had heard 'they're fun.'  The Minister joined 50 Young Stationers in the Savile Club, for questions that ranged from copyright to whether the government ever could find it politically expedient to fund 'high' culture.  Young Stationer Olwen Grindley offered a toast “To St Patrick for the day that's in it; Ireland, for the day that's in it; and Brian O'Driscoll, for the day that's in it.” The evening continued, as these things must, until 5 am!
