Stationers' Crown Woods Academy have sent us this collation of projects undertaken through their Digital Media Centre.
The Shine School Media Awards
Each year the Worshipful Company of Stationers hosts the Shine School Media Awards Ceremony primarily aimed at discovering and rewarding schools for producing a digital media product.
Below is our winning entry from last year!
Below are some examples of the work students have been doing during lockdown; adapting to the challenges of remote working!
Buddy the Elf Christmas Production:
Due to Covid-19 the Drama department were unable to put on a Christmas performance in person this year. Instead, they teamed with the DMC to create a digital production of ‘Buddy the Elf’ with year 7 students.

Fake News Assembly:
Before the most recent lockdown, a group of year 8 and year 12 students took part in The Student View workshop to learn more about the issues of fake news and misinformation. Two of the year 8 students were so interested in this they wanted to educate the rest of the academy. The result is this fantastic ‘Fake News’ assembly produced from their bedrooms and edited by the DMC! A fantastic achievement.

Lockdown Tips:
Our wonderful Student Leadership Team remotely created this video to support all students in the academy with lockdown.

Arden Promotional Video:
Due to the current situation with Covid 19 the Arden team had to promote the sixth form virtually. This promo video produced by Arden students and the DMC team is the result!

-Joint Partnership with Eastcote primary school to create ‘storytime’ videos created by KS3 students for year 6 students
