A mark reserved for the most exceptional products in British publishing, the Stationers’ Company Warrant has now been awarded to Lewis Masonic for its outstanding editing, design and production of their publication for the tercentenary of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Ireland.
The scheme, which was launched by The Stationers Company in 2014, was established as a mark of recognition to highlight excellence within their industries, celebrating those who demonstrate exceptional innovation, craftsmanship and impact across the communications landscape.
Published by Lewis in 2025, the Grand Lodge of Ireland Tercentenary Souvenir Guide (Commemorative Edition) offers a unique journey through over three centuries of Irish freemasonry, showcasing treasures from the Grand Lodge's remarkable heritage collections.
This title covers the fascinating history of the world's second Grand Lodge, and features rare archival documents, historic books, paintings, and ceremonial regalia, providing a vivid insight into the rich material culture of Irish freemasonry and its impact both in Ireland and abroad. Each treasure is illustrated with a full-page, high-quality photograph so the reader can appreciate the details of each piece.
The book was released to coincide with the official tercentenary celebrations held in Dublin and needed to cater to a wide-ranging, international audience. First and foremost, to the masons attending from both home and abroad, some of whom would have in-depth knowledge of the subject, but also those relatively new to the order or Ireland's place in its timeline. And then also to non-masons attending the public tours at Dublin’s Freemasons’ Hall. A paperback version was also produced, primarily for this audience.

About Lewis Masonic
Founded in the 19th century by James Hogg (the son of the famous Scottish poet) under the name ‘A Lewis’, Lewis Masonic is the world’s oldest masonic publisher. It produces the main ritual books used by members of both the male and female English Grand Lodges, as well as others worldwide. Other publications include historic texts and academic journals of particular interest to fraternal, chivalric and charitable societies. Their authors cover subjects from the Enlightenment and the early guilds to speech-making handbooks and guides on understanding medieval and alchemical symbolism.
This award is presented to Lewis Masonic in Recognition of Excellence for their Editing, Design and Production of The Tercentenary of the Grand Lodge of Ireland: 1725–2025 (Commemorative Edition).
