LIVERYMAN BIVAS AMBASADA HAS WRITTEN AND PRODUCED A SHORT-FILM HIGHLIGHTING THE HORRORS OF THE RISING KNIFE-CRIMES IN LONDON.

12 AUGUST 2024

Liveryman Bivas Ambasada has written and produced a short-film highlighting the horrors of the rising knife-crimes in London.

Bivas Ambasada is an award winning writer, film producer, and director. Passionate about creating original, diverse, and engaging films and documentaries which reflects and resonates with global audiences. His mission is to inspire and empower creatives and to tell great stories with a social meaning and impact.

We are all aware of the significant increases in gun and knife crime in London over the years, and it is sad to say that the perpetrators and victims are getting much younger by the day; our Police force and The Old Bailey can confirm this. Because of this, Bivas was compelled to write and produce a short-film as a passion project to showcase in secondary schools, communities and film festivals across the UK;

HIS'STORY tells the harrowing tale of a young individual, Skyz (played by Luke Smith) who becomes a stabbing victim in an unexpected act of violence. Rather than focusing on the act itself, our film delves into the aftermath, exploring the physical and emotional journey of recovery that is seldom portrayed in the media. It is a story about the strength required not just to survive but to rebuild one's life after such a traumatic experience.

Shot on location in London, the film features a cast of talented actors and aspiring newcomers, whose performances bring authenticity and depth to this compelling narrative. The team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of this film, from the script to the cinematography - honours the real-life experiences of stabbing victims and sheds light on their often-overlooked struggles. Aurelius Films recruited many apprentices to assist with the production.

‘We believe that HIS'STORY aligns perfectly for showcasing films that challenge, inspire, and create meaningful conversations. Our film not only tells a story that needs to be heard but also invites viewers to look beyond the headlines and understand the human impact of such incidents. We look forward to the opportunity to share HIS'STORY with a wide audience and to be part of the impactful lineup of films for the present and near future.’

The film will be premiering at The Ritzy Cinema, Brixton, in late September 2024 and will be available to stream online shortly afterwards. Bivas has also been busy producing an exclusive 6 episodes true crime documentary-series for online streaming in 202
