LIVERYMAN PHILIP WOMACK SPEAKS ABOUT HIS BOOKS AT LEIGH STATIONERS' ACADEMY

Liveryman Philip Womack visited Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy on the 6th February, where he talked to the whole school about myths and legends in his books, The Double Axe and The Arrow of Apollo. The school enjoyed learning about Philip's first story (about talking squirrels), and joining in with guessing who the monsters and gods were. There were lots of questions.
Philip was then invited to give two workshops, the first to Year 6, in which they invented their own quests, and then to Year 5, in which they retold the story of Perseus and Medusa. There were some lovely, inventive and thoughtful responses. It was an enjoyable, creative morning for the children.
