5 SEPTEMBER 2025
On 14 November 2025, Steve Hilleard and several colleagues at OPI will once again head to the mountains of the English Lake District for their annual Climb of Life where every year they tackle high, snow-dusted peaks in winter conditions, all to raise vital funds for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).
The event is not for the faint-hearted – the mountains are high, the weather is harsh, and the going can be tough. This short video from a previous climb will give you a taste of what we face each year: Watch here.
For them, this challenge is deeply personal. They will be climbing in memory of two much-liked colleagues whose lives were cut short by cancer, and in solidarity with everyone facing this disease right now, including one of their current teammates. The cold, the wind, and the long hours on the trail are nothing compared to the daily battles that cancer patients endure.
For 16 years, OPI has been proud to help our industry support ICR, raising more than £300,000 in that time. But they haven’t beaten cancer yet so please will you consider supporting our efforts with a donation? Any amount is gratefully received during these challenging times.
Supporting us could not be easier – simply donate online via the site below or send a pledge amount to Steve by email.
