WH SMITH POSTS FULL YEAR RESULTS

WH SMITH: Ahead of posting full-year results in November, the retailer has reported that revenue across the group rose 7 per cent in the 12 months to August 31. The group’s fast-growing UK and international travel business saw sales rise 10 per cent over the year. The UK high street business saw sales fall 4 per cent.
Alongside the trading update, WH Smith announced plans to buy back £50 million of shares and said it expected full-year results to be in line with expectations.
