7 AUGUST 2023
The weather on the evening of 3 August was remarkably kind given the squalls of the previous days. Freemen, Liverymen and friends gathered at the London Pétanque Club (LCP) in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens for the 2023 Inter Livery Pétanque Tournament which was organised by the Worshipful Company of Distillers.
After a short briefing by a representative of the LCP the various matches began and it looked absolute chaos! However, slowly but surely progress was made. The Stationers' Company fielded three teams of members and guests.

At stake was the Cooper’s Cask and although none of our teams came away with that prize they all had a great time!
There are several Inter Livery sporting events each year so do please let us know of any sports you play so that we can alert you to them. We have just circulated information about the Inter Livery Real Tennis tournament to the membership and we would love to have Stationers representing us there so do contact the office on communications@stationers.org if you would like to get involved. Meanwhile we say "well done" to our pétanque players!
