ALDERMAN GREG JONES KC RECEIVES CHAIN OF OFFICE OF THE ALDERMANIC SHERIFF

As a King’s Councillor, the shape of the badge honours his profession as a King’s Councillor and is based on the steps and main doorway of The Royal Courts of Justice, Strand. The coat of arms of the Stationers’ Company is enamelled on his badge, along with the arms of his other four livery companies.

At 12.00 pm today (27 September), Alderman Jones was admitted as the Aldermanic Sheriff at a ceremony at Guildhall presided over by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of London.

We would like to wish fellow Stationer, Liveryman Greg Jones and his wife Rosali, all good wishes for their year ahead in High Office, living at the Old Bailey and supporting the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor and the City of London.
