FIRST COMMERCIAL BOOKING OF THE CHARTER ROOM

The newly constructed Charter Room between the Great Hall and the Court Room received its first external guests on 16 September.
The Apostles Luncheon Club made up of members of the Old Stationers’ Association elected to check out Stationers’ Hall following the completion of the redevelopment programme, having traditionally met five times a year in the West End of London.
Present on this occasion were, from left to right, Peter Bonner, Christopher Langford, Professor Sir David Metcalf, Peter Jarvis, David Hudson , Michael Mote, Peter Sandell, Keith Knight, Tony Mash , Peter Bothwick and Christopher Wilkins. Stuart Behn was unable to attend.
The consensus view was that the room suited a group of this size admirably. Everyone appreciated the décor and the magnificent view of the Hall Garden. The catering and service were also deemed to be of a high order, prompting the satisfied customers to discuss returning to the Hall in the New Year.
