4 MARCH 2020
We were delighted to hear that Auris Tech who won our Innovation Excellence Award for Service Development in 2019 for Fonetti have gone from strength to strength and last week launched “the World’s first listening Bookshop”
Kim Antoniou, Co-Founder and CEO of Auris Tech, says
“We have gone on to win an excellent accreditation and validation by the DfE making Fonetti The Department of Education's approved platform for primary aged children to practice their reading. Fonetti is now live in the app store after a well received marketing launch in late February 2020.
" We are curating our own content as our 'base subscription model' and are currently working with 40+ children's story writers and illustrators (and growing) and will have close to100 books in the library. This is game changing in terms of our content strategy as it means that we are able to have more control around how we offer subscriptions and are able to give free access, where we can make a positive impact by making books available to encourage children to read more.
Additionally, we are delighted to announce that national treasure Clare Balding OBE Has taken on the role as a brand ambassador who says "I love the simplicity of Fonetti and its user-friendliness. It’s designed for kids with voice recognition technology that recognises the individuality of children’s intonation and regional accents. It is helpful and supportive of hesitant delivery or speech impediments and will be endlessly patient and a non-judgemental friend to nervous readers, encouraging them to be more confident and braver."
Our congratulations to Kim and Auris. Our 2020 Innovation Excellence Awards programme is now open and you can access the latest Press Release about the panel of judges and the entry form here .
