Stationers and their partners (and not just those based in the the North) celebrated Yorkshire Day in style with afternoon tea at the Oulton Hall, Leeds, courtesy of the BPIF in league with the Northern Stationers.
Liveryman Robert McClements writes: The guest of honour was the Master who gave an entertaining speech extolling the virtues of the county and its printing heritage. He did recognise the fact that his place of birth, Sheffield, was quite close to
Derbyshire but he was assured that he more than met the criteria and was presented with a white rose buttonhole to mark the occasion – as were all the guests. He was introduced by Charles Jarrold, Liveryman and CEO BPIF, who briefly reviewed the outstanding work of the BPIF throughout the pandemic, ranging from the support of members through to liaising with government in its formulation of support for our industry. Robert McClements, Liveryman, who organised the event said, “It was a delightful afternoon. Despite the challenges of multiple traffic delays everyone arrived safely. Northern Stationers’ events are always open to all Company members and it was so good to be able to welcome them at a real occasion.”
Many thanks to Court Assistant Carol Tullo for the photos.
