RICHARD JOHNSON ‘BUBBLE’ SERVICE

Richard Johnson ‘Bubble’ Service at St Bride’s and Members’ Lunch was held today, 4th June 2024. It was an uplifting service followed by the chance to meet old friends and new.
For many this occasion is one of the most special in the Company calendar. The Richard Johnson Service, known as the ‘Bubble Service’, at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street was followed by a lunch with the Court. At this lunch, we celebrated our association with the Royal Marines Corps by awarding three Stationers' trophies.
The service began at 11.30 am at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street. The preacher this year was our Past Master, The Rt Revd Dr Stephen Platten who, as requested by Richard Johnson in his Last Will & Testament, take on the topic of Vita Humana Bulla Est (Life is a Bubble) for the sermon. The music at the Bubble Service was provided by the excellent choir of St Bride’s.
A wonderful event enjoyed by all that attended.
