Sheriff Michael Mainelli rode the City of London's Range yesterday in support of the Sheriffs’ & Recorder’s Fund .
Founded in 1808, the Fund gives small grants to ex-prisoners and their families in London, to help them stop offending and start a new life and in recent years the Sheriffs have undertaken a ride around a number of Livery Halls usually ending at Stationers' Hall. This was not possible this year because of the redevelopment work but a small contingent from the office went up to Warwick Square to support Sheriff Michael Mainelli at the end of his three hour rise on which he was accompanied by the Light Cavalry and City of London Mounted Police. In the photo he can be seen chatting to a member of the Light Cavalry.
