20 FEBRUARY 2020
It was a little early but the LivCom's VE Day celebration was wholehearted and joyous!
With sirens blaring, search-lights sweeping the Hall and bunting fluttering the celebration began and attendees, some in vintage dress, heard the Clerk bring to life Winston Churchill’s VE Day address. Much singing, comedy and delicious food ensued. The menus were provided by the Evening Standard and replicated stories from Tuesday, 8 May 1945.
There will be fuller coverage in Stationers’ News but certainly congratulations are due to all those involved in the organisation of such a wonderful evening.
