The Society of Young Publishers has a  new committee and has set out its aims for 2023.

Peer networking and society-wide collaboration are top priorities for the Society of Young Publishers in 2023

As it enters its 74th year, the Society of Young Publishers pledges to meet the needs of those across the UK post-pandemic with a mix of hybrid, digital, and in-person events across branches, alongside placing a renewed focus on collaboration between branch committees. Introducing the brand new Wales branch is a key milestone in the SYP’s commitment to diversifying opportunities for publishing hopefuls across the UK and facilitating the creation of wide-reaching industry connections.

Young Stationers' Book Club - On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous

We were thrilled with the success of the first YS book club and received some great suggestions for the next pick. We went with Ciara Starrett’s suggestion and met on Wednesday 5^th August 2020 via  Zoom to discuss the beautifully lyrical, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, by Ocean Vuong.

On the 9 December 2019  a small group of Young Stationers met for festive drinks at Ye Olde London pub just round the corner from the Hall on Ludgate Hill.

Young Stationers' Annual Dinner plus Prize and Awards Presentation

On Monday 16 July 2018 the Young Stationers gathered at Stationers' Hall for their annual dinner. They had decided this year to focus on a rather larger number of awards plus the Young Stationers' Prize rather than have a guest speaker and it was a wonderful occasion when the achievements of six young people in the communications and content industries were recognised. It should also be noted here that those receiving the awards were selected from very strong shortlists in each sector.
