Independent publisher TheNeverPress launched their spin-off digital zine this quarter. Their dispatches cover a whole range of articles - from film and music reviews, to news & events as well as new original writing and investigative pieces about the arts, artists and all those wonderful people out there creating amazing stuff that might just be a little too under-the-radar and needs celebrating.
The content on TheNeverZine is a mix of work that's free for everyone, and also work that's free for subscribers only.
Getting involved
Here is a call to action from TheNeverPress founder and zine creator Graham Thomas – “TheNeverPress is absolutely brimming with creative ideas and bursting with vision, and we are eager to get more people involved in TheNeverZine - writers, artists, creatives, journalists, entrepreneurs etc. We would love to host your work and celebrate your creativity, and also interview fellow stationers and learn more about your trade and craft – anyone with a dream and a vision, we want to hear from you! We want to shine a light on all the amazing people that make this industry thrum with creativity. So, if you share TheNeverPress’s ideals of being independent, curious, caring, authentic and if you see things in a different way then get in touch with me, or through TheNeverPress directly and let’s make some amazing things together.”
What TheNeverPress is about about
TheNeverPress is an independent publishing house specialising in magical-realist fiction, poetry, and audio. And a podcast about movies and racehorses. All of it curiously off-beat.
They value their independence and plan to release a few publications each year in a unique fashion: paperbacks, zines such as TheNeverZine along with printed editions, online serialisations, podcasts, recitals and film screenings. Anything they can dream up, they’ll try and make it happen. They might not be a publishing behemoth right now, but that’s fine by them. TheNeverPress are just going our own way.
They are a collective of artists, writers, specialists and creatives who want to build a strange, punk label that is authentic, meaningful, ethical and always goes full tilt.
