Stationers who are involved in book publishing were delighted to be able to return to some sort of normailty and a real, in-person London Book Fair at Olympia this week and our Publishing Sector Champion , Liveryman George Walkley, arranged a get-together after the Fair had closed for the day on 6 April.

Stationers this week added Carpenters' Hall to an ever-growing list of halls visited during the Vision 350 redevelopment of Stationers' Hall. They gathered there for the Annual Lecture which this year was delivered by Greg Dyke who is best known as a former Director General of the BBC and Chair of the Football Association. Greg addressed the topic of "What next for the BBC, one of the nation’s greatest assets?".

The Master, Upper Warden, Under Warden and the Clerk visited the RMR barracks in Wandsworth to present the annual Stationers’ Award, an inscribed Commando Dagger, to their top recruit, Marine Robert Dunlop.

The new Stationers’ Warrants for 2022 were announced at the Livery Lunch at Fishmongers’ Hall on 7 March 2022. The Master visited each warrant holder at an exhibition which was set out in the Court Room and presented the certificates.

The Master and Wardens' Meeting on Monday 14 March was held at Cutlers' Hall. It started with a Freedom Ceremony at which the Master made eight people free of the Company.

Liverymen Peter Bonner and David Hudson, dream team winners in 2017, once again represented the Stationers' Company in the Inter-Livery Bridge Tournament which is organised by the Worshipful Company of Playing Card Makers and which took place at Drapers, Hall on Monday 7 March. They had an excellent evening and ended as winners of the event.
